The COVID-19 situation has caused various disturbances in our daily lives in many ways, both on a personal and professional level. We work and study at home. We keep our distance. And some in our community may have lost a loved one. Our condolences go out to them. Despite these setbacks, as interpreters, we want to show our resilience and our determination to make the most of it, by using our expertise to bring value to the interpreting/translating community in this difficult time. Therefore, we at Sao Khue (SKG International) are hosting an online discussion session with the purpose of sharing valuable experience from professionals on: "Interpreting during a global health crisis." The theme of our webinar centers around the professional work of interpreting, and how this has been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Our speakers will share personal knowledge and experiences, challenges and solutions, as well as projections of the future of the industry beyond the pandemic, all of which we believe are important and timely points of consideration if you are an interpreter or an apprentice.
